New Leaders Council (NLC) is the hub for progressive millennial thought leadership. Anchored by its six-month intensive training program, the NLC Institute, we equip our leaders with the skills to successfully run for office, manage campaigns, create start-ups, and incubate innovative ideas. Fellows take their activism back into their communities and workplaces to build a lasting infrastructure and leadership pipeline to create progressive change.
NLC has 48 chapters across the country in red and blue states with nearly 6,000 alumni. We are a reflection of the diversity of the millennial generation: Nearly 60 percent of our NLC community are people of color and over half are women.
Join us for a festive evening of celebration, networking, and art as we raise funds to build a stronger, more dynamic, and diverse progressive movement in Chicago and in Illinois.
Delmarie L. Cobb, Founder of Ida's Legacy, and Ben Joravsky, Journalist and Host of The Ben Joravsky Show, will keynote this event, highlighting their respective journeys through Chicago's progressive movements. Their message will inform the work of future leaders, as we strive toward an equitable and inclusive Chicago.
Attendees will also be able to view the open exhibitions at the National Museum of Mexican Art during the event.
